McKernan Enterprises was founded in 2000 by Jaron McKernan. McKernan started with a backhoe and a dump truck and has grown from a small company specializing in excavation and demolition, to a leading, heavy civil contractor, providing land development and infrastructure contracting, as well as excavation in Central Oregon.
Jaron McKernan started McKernan Enterprises in 2000 based on his passion for the work and his love of the industry. Jaron loves seeing the company grow through the development and skills the McKernan Enterprises team. Long term, Jaron hopes for McKernan to be the leading choice in the industry based on their relationships, commitment and reputation.

JARON MCKERNAN
Jaron grew up with heavy equipment and trucks from a young age. He began working in excavation after school at age 15 while pursuing his associates in Business. Jaron formed McKernan Enterprises shortly before completing his degree. The rest is history.
Jaron loves the people he works with, including their roster of clients, and enjoys the day-to-day challenges, problem solving and variety. “There is satisfaction knowing you’re part of a project that brought value to the community and it’s owners,” said Jaron. Jaron’s attention to detail, professionalism and communication all contribute to the success of the company.
Outside of work, Jaron likes spending time with his wife, two daughters and two dogs. Jaron’s wife is a great support and provides oversight on the key financial components of McKernan Enterprises. McKernan’s core team members say they feel like family.
Jaron enjoys traveling, hunting, sports and spending time outdoors. He recently purchased a camper and looks forward to spending time outdoors with his family. He likes experiencing new things and likewise all of the activities Central Oregon offers.
